Roger A. Gregory, 64, of Meshoppen passed away on Friday April 8, 2022 at home from complications of cancer. He is survived by his companion of sixteen years, Margie Lane. Born in Scranton, PA he was the son of the late Leeroy, Jr. and Norma Mason Gregory. He worked for Fisher Stove, Torches, and twenty years for PennDOT prior to his retirement. Roger enjoyed spending his time outdoors especially when he was able to fish and hunt. He is survived by sons, Lee Gregory and wife Genevieve of Carbondale and Jason Gregory of Nicholson; daughter, Kerri Gregory of Wilkes-Barre; brother, Dan Gregory of East Lemon; sister, Donna Mead and husband Larry of Georgia; sister-in-law, Mary Kay Gregory of Nicholson; Margie’s son, Walter Sherwood, Jr. of Meshoppen; seven grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Charles (Chuck), Robert, Linden (Zeke); sister, Jeannie. The family would like to extend deep gratitude to the dialysis team at Tyler Hospital and also the hospice team for all of the care that they have extended to Roger and his family. Upon Roger’s wishes, funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock.
