Obituary of Donald J. Vogrin

Donald J. Vogrin, 81, of Tunkhannock passed away on Saturday April 16, 2022 at The Gardens of Tunkhannock. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lola in 2015. Born in Luzerne County, PA he was the son of the late Alvin and Alice Shiffer Vogrin. Donald proudly served in the United States Army. He was a heavy equipment operator by trade, an excellent one at that. He enjoyed the outdoors fishing and hunting any chance he could. Donald loved camping with his family and friends, NASCAR racing and listening to Johnny Cash. He spent many summer nights racing at Herb Harvey’s Speedway. He is survived by children, Linda Hussong and husband Wayne, Jeffery Lee Vogrin and wife Angelina, Doug Vogrin and wife Alison; grandchildren, Brandon Hussong, Shelby Brumbaugh, Lindsey Mandziara, and Kristen Vogrin; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Joan Stroka and Mary Uptain; brothers, Alvin, Jr. (Pete), Mike and Jack; along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his brother Richard Vogrin. At Donald’s request there will be no services. Internment will be in Perrins Marsh Cemetery, Centermoreland at the convenience of the family. The family would life to express their deep gratitude to the caregivers at The Gardens of Tunkhannock for their compassion to Donald.
