Obituary of Delores Kapolka

Delores Kapolka, 90, passed away on Wednesday June 1, 2022. Her husband Edward preceded her in death in 1984. She was born on July 12, 1931 in Kingston PA she was the daughter of Sylvia and Patrick Miller. Delores was a longtime resident of Tunkhannock PA and where owned a family-owned working dairy farm and Christmas tree farm for many years. She earned extra money growing and selling produce in the local area. She was also a polling place volunteer and collected for various organizations such as America Cancer Society and St Jude Children to name a few. She was also a lifelong devout Catholic and, in addition to her faith, loved traveling, antique collecting, auctions and attending area flea markets. She particularly enjoyed being with family playing cards and other games. She was also an avid gardener who loved her flowers. She was very generous and giving person, with a great sense of humor. She always made life fun for many of those around her. She is survived by her sons, Stephen and Richard; daughter, Patricia Hostetter; four grandchildren and one great-grand child. Family and friends are invited to attend Delores’s Mass of Christian Burial which will be held on Tuesday June 7, 2022 at 12:00 PM from St. Frances Cabrini Church, 585 Mt Olivet Rd, Wyoming, PA 18644 to be celebrated by Reverend James J. Paisley, pastor. Interment will be held in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM on Tuesday at the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc. 73 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock, PA 18657.
