Obituary of Stanley J. Podlaski

Stanley J. Podlaski, 78, of Tunkhannock passed away on June 10, 2022 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Harvey on April 10, 2000. Born in Wilkes- Barre on April 18, 1944, he is the son of the late Stanley and Sophie Putek Podlaski. He was a teacher at Tunkhannock High School and a member of Nativity BVM, Tunkhannock. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, yardwork, yard sales, and crossword puzzles. He is survived by his companion of 20 years, Fran Bochicchio; son, Anthony and wife Tammy; daughter, Angeline Burke and husband John, Fran’s son, Thomas Cooney and wife Jessica; Fran’s daughters, Colleen Ingargiola and husband Louis, Kellie Thomas and husband Wayne; sister, Alice Ueberroth; brother-in-law, Bruce Gelnett; mother in law, Ada Harvey; grandchildren, Piper Podlaski, Sophie, Jack, and Ian Burke, Meaghan and Brian Sanders, Julia, Amelia, and Antonio Ingargiola, Shea, Sawyer, and Landon Cooney; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lorraine Gelnett. Family and friends are invited to attend Stanley’s Mass of Christian Burial which will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at 11:00am from Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 99 E. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, PA 18657 to be celebrated by Rev. Patrick Albert. Interment will follow in Pieta Cemetery, Tunkhannock. A viewing will be held at the church from 10:00am until the time of mass. Arrangements and care are entrusted to Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc., 73 W. Tioga Street, Tunkhannock, PA 18657.
