Maryann R. Targett, of Lake Winola, passed away on August 5th at Regional Hospital in Scranton. Born in Shamokin, PA on March 10, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Anna Horoshak Cleaver. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, John Targett. Maryann lived at Lake Winola for 40 years and was a member of St Mary’s of the Lake Catholic Church. Maryann was a beautiful soul who has gone to be with her lord. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed. In addition to her husband she is also survived by sons Matthew Targett of Beijing, China and Patrick Targett of Lake Winola, daughter Janine Targett of Falls; granddaughters, Hayley, Ava, and Stella and grandson Ethan; sisters, Sandra Kanaskie of Phoenixville and Patricia Goldstone of Bloomsburg and a brother Walter Cleaver of Pottstown as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10 am from St Mary’s of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake Winola. Family and friends are requested to go directly to the church. Interment will be held at Pieta Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Thursday evening from 5 – 7 pm at the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St, Tunkhannock, PA.
