Julia M. (Ciprich) Wiernusz 92 of Tunkhannock passed away peacefully on October 21, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Edmund on April 8, 1998. She was born in Laceyville on August 16, 1921, daughter of the late Ignatz and Frances Kuffa Ciprich. She was a graduate of Laceyville High School 1939. She was a loving mother who opened her home not only to her family but extended family and friends. Her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Nativity B.V.M. Church, and the Nativity Altar and Rosary Society. She was preceded in death by brothers John, Joseph, Ignatius, George and Michael; and Sisters Anna Kirk and Helen Quinn. Surviving are her sons Ron Wiernusz of Kingston, and John “Yogi” and his wife Joanne Wiernusz of Lansdale, and daughters Fran Wiernusz of Old Forge, and Nancy and her husband Harry Hutch of Tunkhannock; sister Betty Lombard, of Hollywood, Fla.; grandchildren Lisa and husband Robert Wormuth, Douglas and wife Fran VanVolkinburg, Adam and wife Tiffany Wiernusz, Linnzi and husband Tim D’Lauro, Ben and wife Rachel Wiernusz, Alison and husband Alex Russin, Tyler Wiernusz, Morgan Wiernusz, Madison Wiernusz, Brandon Wiernusz; great-grandchildren Robert and Matthew Wormuth, Brett and Cameron Wiernusz, Jack and Sam D’Lauro, Luke Wiernusz, and her namesake Julia Russin. Funeral services will be held on Friday October 25 at 9:30 am from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc. 73 West Tioga St. Tunkhannock with a mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM from the Nativity B.V.M Church in Tunkhannock interment will be in Pieta Cemetery Tunkhannock. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Nativity B.V.M.
