Edward E. Buddy Ultsh of Lake Winola died shortly after admission in the Regional Hospital of Scranton. He was born in Scranton on October 29, 1932 son of the late Frank and Elizabeth Spisak Ultsh.
Buddy attended Falls Overfield High School, Army veteran of Korean Conflict. Prior to his retirement he as employed by the Endicott Johnson Shoe Company in Tunkhannock for over 35 years. A member of St. Marys Of the Lake, and the Hallstead American Legion Post 0357.
Preceding him in death was his wife Catherine Rafferty Ultsh, infant son Edward E. Jr., sister Delores Hirkey, surviving are sons Edward Ultsh, Frank Ultsh and wife Michele, daughter Mary Sherry and Husband Robert all of Lake Winola. Brother Arthur Ultsh of Brentwood, LI, Sister Eleanor Castleburry of Fuguay Barina, North Carolina, granddaughter Kathryn Sherry and husband Riadh Jebri of Willington, Del., great grandson Joseph Jebri, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10 am at St Marys of the Lake in Lake Winola. Interment will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery, Great Bend. Friends may call at the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8. Family and friends are requested to go directly to the church on Wednesday. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to St. Marys of the Lake Catholic Church. On line condolences may be sent to the family at sheldonkukuchkafuneralhome.com.
