John (Jack) E. Logan, 80, of Tunkhannock, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday. He joined his beloved "Sweetie", Marilyn Logan who passed Sep. 21, 2011. The couple was married for more than 58 years. Born Sep. 15, 1933, in Mill City, son of the late Thomas M. and Gertrude Miller Logan, he was a Tunkhannock resident since 2005 and was formerly of Ransom. Attended Dalton High School, he served in the U S Marine Corps and Army during Korean conflict. Before retirement, he worked as a machinist at Sprague & Henwood, Scranton, for over 35 years. He was an active member of the Tunkhannock Senior Center. John loved pets and enjoyed woodworking and music. Surviving are a son, Jeff and his wife Nancy, Nicholson; a daughter Cindy and her husband Eric Hueg, with whom he resided, Tunkhannock; one brother, Thomas Logan, Dalton; four grandchildren Trish Stover, husband Marty, Forkston; Ashley husband Jeff Youells, Tunkhannock; and Corey Nelson, Lake Carey; Ashley husband Evan Dum, Carlisle; and four great-grandchildren Jon Logan, Aiden Nelson, Ryan Youells, and Althea Nelson He was also preceded in death by a sister, Janette Allen; and three brothers, Arthur W, Wilmer T. and Robert F. Logan. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday March 12th at 6:30pm from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, PA with Pastor John Shaffer presiding.
