Gloria Eileen (Maxwell) Kulow died on April 23, 2014 after a long battle with declining health. She was born October 7, 1924 in Hackensack, New Jersey, the daughter of Gertrude and William Maxwell. She was predeceased in death in 2005 by her beloved husband of 60 years, Aaron (Ronnie) Kulow. Her marriage took place during World War II when Aaron had a two-day leave from the Navy. She traveled alone across the country by troop train, to San Francisco, for the wedding. She then returned to New Jersey by troop train while Aaron went back to his ship. Gloria leaves her son Robert and his wife Nancy and many friends across the country. A funeral mass will be held at Nativity BVM church, Tunkhannock, PA on April 29, 2014 at 10 am. At the request of the decedent, there will be no formal viewing. There will be a graveside service immediately preceding burial. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Wyoming County Cultural Center at the Dietrich Theater, 60 E. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, PA 18657.
