Jody T. Vaskas of Tunkhannock died at his home on Wednesday, July 9, 2014. He was born in Tunkhannock on October 16, 1965. Jody was a 1983 graduate of Tunkhannock High School. He attended the Church of Nativity BVM in Tunkhannock and Our Lady of Victory Parish, Harvey’s Lake, Pa., Jody was an avid fisherman, loved animals and painting with oils. He was an accomplished Photographer and videographer. Most of all he was a loving father, son and brother. With wings of faith, Jody came to Jesus in his brokenness and his love for others. He was made whole, to soar in heaven in peace and love as he encounters a new journey. We all have to face ourselves someday. “There shall be no pain for the former things have passed away” Rev 21-24. Surviving is his mother Geraldine “Geri” Vaskas, son Tyler J. Vaskas, brothers Todd and Randy Vaskas all of Tunkhannock. Several, aunts, uncles and cousins. A memorial service will be a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wyoming County Human Society, PO Box 478, Tunkhannock, Pa. 18657 of to the Tunkhannock Public Library, 220 West Tioga St., Tunkhannock, 18657 or to the Wyoming County Humane Society, 9 E.
