Electa Jean Rundell of Tunkhannock died Tuesday in Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore. She was born in Tunkhannock on July 15, 1932 daughter of the late John S. and Elizabeth Mary Hill Carter. A 1951 graduate of Tunkhannock High School, member of the Mehoopany Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for 4 and 5 year olds for numerous years. Prior to her retirement she drove Bus for St. Michaels School in Hoban Heights for over 20 years. Proceeding her in death was her husband John, brother Bill Carter, sisters Grace Tallada, Rose Robinson, Elaine Bateman. Surviving is a son John E. Rundell of Greenville, NC, daughter Susan N. Altemose of Exeter, Pa., brother Stanley Carter of Michiana, sisters Mary McDonald and Nancy Gensel of Idaho, 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 21st at 11 am from the Mehoopany Baptist Church, with Pastor Joe Billingsley. Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Cemetery, Dallas, Visitation will be from 10 am until the time of service. On line condolences to the family at may be sent to www.sheldonkukuchkafuneralhome.com .
