I was lucky to know Larry and to enjoy his great sense of humor. His smile would light up the room. As one of his many teachers, I got to know him quite well. He would walk into my classroom and greet me with, "Hey Mr. K, thanks for comin' today." He would do this every single day. I didn't realize it at the time but Larry taught me about life, I only hope he learned as much from me. Fly high my friend. My thoughts and prayers go out to his parents and family.

The sadness in my heart for the loss of a friend will be remembered always. The loss of a child is the worst thing that can happen to a family. I will forever remember the giant bear hug he gave me that was so genuine and kind! My sincere condolences to Larry's family as you grieve the loss of your son. May God bless and keep you. Yours truly, Sue H. Key West

My thoughts and prayers are with all his family and friends in this absolutely tough moment. Larry was truly a class act. I was first a customer at the club he managed in Tampa, then he became my client buying watches from me. We became friends for life. Larry was kind, caring, unpretentious and most of all Real. The world have lost an amazing soul. People like him don't show up in our lives often. He will be greatly missed. May the peace of the lord be with him and all the ones he left behind. We will meet again my friend. Hector.

I have lived in Key West for seven years and have experienced the loneliness that comes from being away from family and great joys that come from living in this special place.
Your words remind me that I can't, no matter what, make my mom cry the way you are right now.
Although I did not know Larry, many of my friends do. And will always cherish his memory.
Please know that Larry's Key West family has you in our prayers tonight.

It's been quite a few years since we work together my dear Larry. How could I ever forget all the laughs and memories you gave me. I am forever grateful and extremely thankful to have gotten to work with you. You touched so many lives in such a positive way. When I think of Larry, I think of happiness ans of the jokes and good Times. I can guarantee your departure from this Earth will not go in vain as you have raised awareness when it comes to depression. Even though we lost contact a few years ago the memories are forever treasured inside my heart. Thank you for making a difference in my life and in many others
We love you Larry.

I am so sorry for this loss. Larry was 1 of my bosses at Rick's. We immediately opened a highly inappropriate banter & thought, to hell with anyone who is offended. I'm the same age - He had me by 4 months. If anything can come from this, I hope it's a better understanding of depression. Many of us have suffered & most in silence. Silence=death. Speak out! <3

Took a liking to Larry instantly by his sense of humor and kindness. Rather it was at Ricks where he worked or later at Bills we always looked him up!! Learned over the years his tremendous generosity to others. Always wanting to lend a helping hand!! Was looking foward to seeing him again someday!! I know he is missed! And by the grace of God we will see him again!! Bless all who knew and loved him.

Ted and Peg,
I'm so very sorry. Larry and I went to high school together. We also went to the Art Institute together for a bit.
Larry was the most caring guy and wonderful friend to SO many of us. I will never forget our time together in high school and the Art Institute. The plane ride home from Pittsburgh... I was so nervous to be in a plane but Larry made me laugh so much that I forgot how scared I was. I will cherish all my memories of him. He was a true friend. He cared so much about people. I hope we can all learn to love people the way he did.
Please know that I have been praying for you and your family and I've been thinking about you non stop. He will be in my heart forever. ❤️

I am very, very saddened by your loss. Larry was my friend since my first day as a police officer 5 years ago. Larry always made me laugh and genuinely cared for others. I wish he would've said something to me when I gave him a ride the other day. I saw him walking alone and pulled over. He made Me laugh on the way to Dennys. Great man that would give the shirt off his back and would fight for me. Much love to all of you. And great love for Larry.
Respectfully,
Clark

I send my love with a heavy heart to the entirety of Larry's family and fellow friends. He has been such a shining light in our lives here in Key West and everywhere he stopped to shine if only for a brief time. It is so hard to see depression take yet another of our beloved. He has meant more to us than he will ever know. The light in his eyes, the warmth in his hugs and the laughter he bestowed upon each and everyone of us will be sorely missed. Rest easy our gentle giant, we love you!

My heartfelt sympathy at your loss. I knew Larry from his work and was his neighbor and landlord for a few years. I liked Larry when I first met him and that never changed. He was well liked and it was a tragic shock for the whole community at this turn of events. My heart goes out to the family as there is nothing more tragic than for a parent to lose a child. Larry had a kindness that will be missed aside from his sense of humor.

I am heartbroken at the news of Larry's passing. I went to High School with him, TAHS Class of 92. Larry has always been a great friend. He was one of the most genuine people you could ever meet and he was ALWAYS smiling, making jokes and cheering people up. He always listened and cared how his friends were doing. I've stayed in contact with him through Facebook and even if I was having the worst day, his funny jokes and posts would make me laugh. The world is a much sadder place without him in it. I join all his friends in saying I would have done anything for him. He is truly a great guy and I'm thankful to have been able to call him a friend. Rest In Peace old friend, you will be missed much more than you know. To his parents, I can't even imagine your pain and sadness but I hope you know how much he loved you. My deepest condolences to you both.
