We were only recently made aware of Joan's passing, having lost touch with an old friend. Teresa and Joan were long-time old friends and co-workers when we moved out of the area in 2007, not returning until Aug. '16.
It was our pleasure to meet and get to know her daughter, Faye and significant other, Pete upon learning of Joan's passing.
Our deepest condolences to Joan's family for their loss.

Dear Carter Family,
We were saddened to hear of Joan's passing. It is so painful to let go of someone that you love as dearly as you have loved Joan. She touched your lives in a special way and she certainly will be missed. As you cherish your precious memories of her please reflect on the words of Jesus at John 5:28,29. In this passage we are assured of the resurrection. At that wonderful time our tears of grief will be transformed into tears of joy. This promise was made possible by our loving Heavenly Father Jehovah through the sacrifice of his dear son Jesus Christ. May this sure hope bring you a measure of comfort at this difficult time.
