Obituary of Alan B. Flanagan

Alan B. Flanagan, 81, of Tunkhannock passed away Sunday July 19, 2020 at Regional Hospital of Scranton. He is survived by his wife Judith Wynd Cooper Flanagan and preceded in death by his first wife Eleanor Robins in 1991. Born in New Haven, CT on October 2, 1938 he was the son of the late Joseph M. and Mildred Anderson Flanagan. Alan served his country in the United States Navy until his retirement, he was a member of Nativity B.V.M. Church, Tunkhannock. In addition to his wife he is survived by, James Wynd Cooper of Springville and Megan Timonte of Arizona; sisters, Patricia Robertson of Connecticut and Marylin Mercier of Florida; sister in laws, Joanne Shaffer and Mary Robins; nephews, Kevin, William, and Bruce Robertson; niece, Carol Schmidt. Family and friends are invited to attend Alan’s Mass of Christian Burial which will be held on Wednesday July 22, 2020 at 10AM from the Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 99 E Tioga St, Tunkhannock, PA 18657 to be celebrated by Reverend Patrick Albert, pastor. Interment will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock with full military honors. Friends are asked to go directly to the church on Wednesday. A viewing will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Tuesday from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc. 73 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock, PA 18657.
